Debt

I was not born indebted. 

I do not owe you my time. 

I was not born with red in my ledger. 

I do not owe you my energy. 

I was not born to spend my life trying to pay you back. 

I do not owe you my love. 

My first breath was not taken with a negative balance in my account. 

My love, my time, my body, my soul are MINE. 

It took me a long time to realize that the negative balance in my account wasn't because I needed to pay you back, it was because you were over-drafting my account to try and fill your own. 

I do not owe you anything.
